Program Goal
- How can a DHH guide help your family? DHH Guides give families better expectations and perspectives of their identity, social development, and self-esteem; which will strengthen family relationships and ease parental anxiety. Interactions can include addressing parent concerns, conversations with the family about technology, and other accessibility accommodations that have assisted the DHH Guide in their life. The lived experiences of our DHH Guides include a variety of educational and vocational backgrounds, family life, and social interests. In sharing these experiences and insights, DHH Guides may be able to better articulate important perspectives and bring credibility to the discussion of the child’s needs, in the classroom and in the community.
